Regular maintenance is pivotal to the longevity of your wig. Over time, wigs can
accumulate dirt, oil, and product buildup, leading to a dull appearance and potential
matting. Consistent washing is key to keeping your wig looking fresh, clean, and vibrant.We recommend washing your human hair wig or topper every 6-8 wears to ensure it maintains its quality and allure and bringing it to us for a deep cleaning every 3 months.
Here's what you'll need to do:
- Fill a sink or bowl with lukewarm water and add a professional high-moisture
shampoo. Mix the solution well with your hand to form a lather. - Dip the wig into the water several times, then gently squeeze out the excess
water. Important: Do not brush the wig while shampooing. - Drain the basin and refill it with fresh, clean water.
- Dip the wig in and out and gently squeeze out the excess water after each dip. Repeat 4-5 times. Rinse with cool water until the water runs clear.
- Drain the basin again and refill it with clean, lukewarm water.
- Add a professional conditioner to the water and fully immerse the wig into the
solution. Holding on to the cap as you immerse it. - Now begin working the conditioner into the wig. Start at the ends of the hair and slowly work your way up to the crown.
- Drain the basin again and refill it with clean water.
- Dip the wig in and out, squeezing the excess water after every dip. Repeat this process 4-5 times to rinse all of the conditioner out.
- Wrap the wig in a towel and gently squeeze to absorb as much water as
possible. Important: Do not twist the towel or wig. - Brush the hair away from the hairline with a wide-toothed comb. Secure the wig to a mannequin head and brush the hair from the ends up to the crown.
- Choose your part and brush the hair away from the face. Let dry naturally or style as desired.
